2. Adding students to your class


You'll need to create a class before you can add students!

PLEASE NOTE:  These guidelines are for adding unregistered students only. If a student already registered to use Handouts, or was registered by another teacher, they will have to add themselves to the class using the unique PIN code given for each class. 

Adding a student is easy peasy lemon squeezy!

  1. Open Handouts and log in as a teacher.
  2. Tap on the class to which you want to add the student.
  3. Tap on 'Students'.
  4. Tap on '+Add Student' (bottom left of the screen).
  5. Enter the student's details and tap on 'Save' (top right of the screen). You can also tap on 'Edit Picture' to take or select a profile pic for that student. Don't forget! the student will need to know the email/username and password you used for them in order to log into Handouts, so be sure to make a note of them!

Ta daa! You are now ready to tackle the next stage: creating your first assignment.
